Our Final project!

This is what we made for our project! We made a lot of cupcakes with the European Union Flag and we gave them away with information about the European Union and the human rights. We were giving them away for 50 cents, and this money is going to our cooperative in the school and they will use them to build schools in Camerun. We want to support them because they cannot know their human rights if they don't have education.

Then we went to a lot of classes of 6th and 5th primary to present our game in scratch that we made. They answered all the answers and most of them were correct! We were proud to see that they were learning new things about the Europan Union.

In the next video we show what activities we did, the one with the information and cupcakes and the other with 5th and 6th of primary.

We are so happy of what we have done, because a lot of people was interested about knowing more information and they asked for our blog link to visit our blog and see what we have done.

Finally these are our views:

We are proud that people from here (Spain), Germany, United States and France is visiting our blog to learn more information.
And also we are proud to helping people to know more about the EU and human rights.

Hope you like our activity and blog,

HUMAN RIGHTS AND DEMOCRACY

Since many years ago, the European Parliament is a fierce defender of human rights. So now we want you to know more and investigate things about what does the European Parliament do in the fight for humans rights and democracy.

Here you can check the link where you will find information on this specific topic.

Information paper

We are giving this paper with some information about the European Union and the Human rights that we have done.
Here you have the paper in catalan and the same information but in english :)

WHAT DOES THE EUROPEAN UNION FOR HUMAN RIGHTS?

The countries making up the EU and wishing to join must respect human rights. They also do countries celebrate trade or cooperation agreements with the EU.

Through its human rights policy, the EU:
• Defence civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights
• Try to promote the rights of women, children, minorities and displaced persons
• Opposes the death penalty, torture, human trafficking and discrimination
• It implicates to defend universal character and indivisible human rights cooperating working closely and actively with partner countries, international and regional organizations and civil society.

The human rights don’t discriminate
The strategic framework and action plan on human rights and democracy were conceived in 2012 with the aim of increasing the effectiveness and coherence of the human rights policy of the EU as a whole. Also in 2012, Stavros Lambrinidis was first appointed EU Special Representative for Human Rights, with the task of increasing the effectiveness and visibility of the foreign policy of the EU human rights

Annual informs
EU publishes an annual report on the implementation of the Charter of Fundamental Rights and the exercise of human rights and democracy in the world. This report evaluates the work of the EU in the field of human rights.

Protect the fundamental rights at home
All EU institutions, the Commission, Parliament and Council have a role in the protection of human rights. They have the aid of the Fundamental Rights Agency, which determines and analyzes the main trends in the field of fundamental rights.

Promote human rights worldwide
The defence of human rights is fundamental to reducing poverty and preventing and resolving conflicts. For this reason, this issue holds a special place in the EU's relations with other countries and regions.

All trade agreements and cooperation with non-EU countries contain a clause stipulating that human rights are an essential element of the relationship. There are currently more than 120 such deals. The EU has imposed sanctions for violating human rights in a number of countries, including Belarus and Iran.

The EU also maintains dialogues on human rights with more than 40 countries and organizations, such as Russia, China and the African Union.

Our Ideas

Since we wanted to participate in this competition we were thinking all the time about what we want to show all the people about the European Parlament.
First we made our brain storm we thought that what we can try to explain to all the people are the Human rights that people have and what the European Union does to respect them. Here we have a video about our Brain Storm:

This is how our views are going:
